Malta Air Traffic Services Ltd. (MATS) is Malta’s Air Navigation Service Provider.  We provide air traffic services to aircraft flying in the Malta Flight Information Region, Search and Rescue services, as well as terminal and aerodrome services.

MATS Ltd. is inviting applications for the position of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Officer trainee (ATSEO-t).

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be in possession of at least a Higher National Diploma (MQF Level 5), or a recognised appropriate comparable qualification, in Telecommunications Engineering, with Ordinary level passes or higher, in Mathematics, English and Maltese Languages.  Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to the above, also possess industry standards CCNA and LPIC certifications.

Experience Requirements

No previous experience is required as all the necessary training will be provided by the Company.  However, successful individuals need to be willing to travel abroad for training or any other work-related purposes, if and when required as per exigencies of the Company.

Full-Time Employment

Selected candidates will automatically qualify for full-time employment as ‘Air Traffic Safety Electronics Officer’ (ATSEO) on successful certification of the ATSEP initial training (composed of the Basic and Qualification training).  Development courses are required for future promotions within the section.
